My tastes of Turkey - Adam Nogala

Sunday, early in the morning something about 6a.m “Comenius team” had to be in the school. Unfortunetely I overslept, and I got late. When finally i came to the school buses were waiting. When I entered the bus, our trip began. The first destination point of our trip was Berlin, after 5 hours in the bus we came to Berlin, and we had to wait for our plane there. After 2 hours of waiting, the plane took off. We have been flying for 2,5 hours while we landed in Istanbul. We had to change plane there because our destination point was Besni. When we did it we were flying about 2 hours. On the place when we took our bags, we met our Turkish friend Mr. Abdul. After a short welcome, we went to Besni by the bus to our hosts . Finally at 2 p.m. we were in our host families. We got some small dish and we went to sleep

That day was the special day becuase we could sleep longer as usually in the trip. We had to get up at 10 o'clock. At this time the bus came for us and we went at hill near Besni where we could see beautiful mountains and some parts of Besni. When we got down from this mountain we went to the park. In the park we tasted Turkish coffe witch was delicious. At 2p.m. We met Italian's. All togheter we went to see Turkish school. In the school we saw a lot a Turkish kids and we met their headmaster. Straight from the school we went to the town hall for the meeting with the city major. When we went out from town hall it was 5p.m. Our families took us to home. We had free time, but we weren't too creative and we just ate something and we went to sleep.

On Tuesday we got up at 6 o'clock. We went to Gaziantep to the Museum of Mosaics. The road to Gaziantep was very long. It tooks about 3hours. In the museum we got media guides. Next, we went to the turkish kitchen museum, this part of trip was very boring for me, but i think it is normal for teenagers. Then we got dinner. After the meal we went to the one of turkish bazars. For me it was fantastic. There was everything. I was a little shocked. After bazar we went to the shoppingcentre and we had 1 hour of our free time. On our way back everyone was sleeping. At 10p.m. We were in Besni. Our families took us to the home, and again we went go straight to our beds.

On Wednesday morning, the bus took us to school where we prepered traditional dishes from our countries.
We prepered „Pierogi z serem”. Italians prepared some type of beans. When we everyting was ready we could taste everything. In a short moment everybody was full. After cooking we had some free time so we went to my Turhish friend's father. He is a soldier. At 7p.m we came to the disco party to the same place where we did our dishes. We were dancing , eating and singing. Party contiued to 10p.m. After party me and my Turkish friend went to play football. It was fantastic. At 2a.m. We went to home and we went to sleep.

On Thursday we got up early as usually. The bus took us to Şanlıurfa where we visted the castle and temples, then we went to the restaurant and ate traditional turkish dishes. For me it was too hot. I did not like Turkish food. We also were dancing to turkish music that was played by musicians, we saw how the most popular meal in Turkey is prepared. After 4hours of great play we came back to Besni at midnight.

In Friday was the time to come back to our countries we had to get up at 5a.m because we had a plane at 8 a.m. We said „good bye” to our host families and went to Gaziantep where we had a plane. The procedures on the airports were the same. Then we went to Istambul, next we went to Berlin and at least from Berlin to Strzelno. The trip was so tiring that we were sleeping the whole way home. When we got off the bus we were crying because of happines and we fell into the arms of our families.
